Blown away how good the cx90 is!

I've only gotten a couple weeks in on my 2026 cx-90 premium sport. But I test drove everything in the segment and out of them all preferred it based on my personal wants and needs. I was coming from a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland lease and while is was a good rig, the Mazda is a superior driving suv, much more enjoyable to drive than all others in the segment as well. But it does sacrifice some storage and passenger room on the third row to most other 3 rows. So there is no free lunch. Front storage is less than the others as well. But I am not the type to haul around 4 giant Stanley's or carry anything that requires a space for a giant handbag. Other SUVs do this better. But acceleration is swift. I tested 0-60 at around 6.5 second. Suspension is a perfect balance of control, feedback and compliance. It can tow 5000lbs and even the lower trims are well equipped. It is very comfortable and there seats really felt better than my Jeep overland. It feels super solid with no noises or creaking, panel gaps are tight. Pricing is good for the equipment level and fuel efficiency is great. I've already seen 30mpg freeway on a long trip to Oregon and averaging 26 overall so far, in my limited time with it. Of course no idea how it will do long term, but so far so great!… - 5.0
LOVE this car
By Jim M | on 5/6/2026 4:05:45 AM
I've had this car six months and absolutely Love It! Drives nice and solid, steady on the road, good handling, brakes very well - does not come up short on any of my expectations, and exceeds in most areas. The biggest plus of this car is the PHEV! I got a charging cable and usually start every trip with a 90% charge and I am getting outstanding gas mileage - and it continues to go up. Mostly driving about town - to work and errands - and am getting 45 MPH! Before I got the charging cable and began charging it at home consistently, I believe I was getting about 35 MPH per tank refill. Now, I go 700-800 miles per tank and only have to get gas once a month. Perfect timing with gas locally at $5 and now $6 per gallon. I have not noticed a bump in my electric utility bill of more than around $50, but I'm still monitoring, but certainly less than the tank of gas per month that it's replacing. Highly recommend plug-in hybrids (if you can get a charging cable and charge at home) and this car in particular.… - 4.0
All great

Everything on this vehocle is great I drive maybe 16 miles a day all electric when I take longer trips out of town dont plug in since getting the vehicle 4k miles ago only problem I've had is the squealing brake issue at low speeds. The wireless charger doesn't bother me because I always charge my phone at home and I only need to charge my phone once a day. Also it chargers faster when you plug it in anyways. I am.taking it in for 1st service at the mazda dealer and to address the squealing brakes so we will see. There is already a modified pad for the vehicle since the rotors glaze over due to the regenerative braking and less use of brake pads. I believe the first fix it's to lubricate brake parts and if the noise returns they replace the pads. So free pads 5-10k in is not bad.…
